Despite how intelligent people are, despite how good their ideas may be, and despite how well they have thought out their concepts, the fact remains, if people cannot communicate their messages clearly then their ideas do not exist. To be able to speak and to communicate using language and symbols is one of the factors that make us uniquely human and as social beings it is of the utmost importance to do this effectively and efficiently. People’s ability to master public presentations and social interaction distinguishes them from their peers and gives them a skill set valuable in both professional and social contexts.
